Call Center Representative

BACKGROUND:

We are an award-winning Bariatric Practice. Our practice is based on providing exemplary customer service, while assisting patients to achieve their weight loss goals. Our team consists of 15 skilled bariatric surgeons with years of experience. We use innovative new solutions to successfully get our patients on the path to improved health.

We understand our patient’s surgery is a chance for a healthier lifestyle and a new start, that is why our patients are offered the highest level of support from our medical staff in terms of post-surgery programs including counseling, dietary assistance, fitness and more, to help them enjoy a transformation in their lifestyle towards better eating habits, increased energy, and long-term health. We serve patients in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

We are seeking a Patient Services Representative; this candidate is an empathetic individual who deeply cares about the lives of our patients and make a lasting impression. Here at New York Bariatric Group we go the extra mile for our patients to ensure they enjoy the experience with our practice.

As a Patient Services Representative for the New York Bariatric Group, you will be guiding patients along their weight loss journey to achieve their ideal body. You will be exposed to various fields within medicine. You will have excellent communications skills, positive personality, human relations skills, multitasking, self-motivated, ability to work independently, ability to work with a team, professional image, respect diversity, flexibility, honesty and caring attitude towards people.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Answer on average 45-60 calls per day

·         Corresponding to emails, chat and text messages

·         Scheduling appointments, procedures, and testing

·         EMR (Electronic Medical Record) data entry

·         General administrative duties

·         Insurance and Knowledge of Medical terminology a plus

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

·         Is an extrovert who is outgoing to patients and able to deal with patients requests in a friendly manner

·         Enjoys being a part of supportive team that exudes a positive atmosphere and looking to join a fast-growing practice

·         Must be punctual, hardworking, and willing to help in all areas of the practice

·         Is energetic and cheerful

·         Must be empathetic, friendly and willing to go above and beyond!

·         Demonstrated superior patient care services and attention to detail

·         Must have EMR experience

·         Must be willing to work some Saturday hours if needed

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

·         Experience in healthcare administration or other related fields

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong computer skills

·         Bachelor’s degree required(Degrees and experience required.)
