Chief Design Engineer - Electrical - Full-time / Part-time

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

• Generate new ideas and create new solution proposals
• Develop the technical solutions for given specs ensuring a) functionality, b) quality and reliability c) cost d) ability to manufacture e) interfaces to other technologies, f) compliance with applicable technical codes and standards
• Create design/engineering documentation of a complete component or product
• Manage team performance
• Control & Steer the design work
• Select and monitor performance of external resources (from approved list)
• Write Task assignments
• Follow-up of task execution & controlling work quality
• Select sub-contractor
• Communicate to technical stakeholders

• M.Sc. or equivalent knowledge in engineering.
• Min 8 years of design work experience in the area of digital services or user interface devices.
• Deep technical knowledge about electrical engineering.
• Research and Development methodologies and tools
• Project management methodologies in areas of predictive and agile.
• Engineering/design - electrical, software, reliability, usability, patents (Mechanical understanding is not required, but is an added value)
• Knowledge of global and local legal requirements and applicable technical codes and standards
• Deep technical knowledge about system level: Components relations, Code knowledge, Cost competitiveness, Engineering calculations for design tolerances, Risk management, and Statistical Analysis
• Readiness of technological solution according to milestone requirements (Requirements, Specification, Design, Piloting, Product Release)
• Quality metrics of technology in piloting and ramp-up phases (measured by call-outs and defects requiring changes to design or process)
• Ability to control scope of the project after specification has been frozen and agreed
