Aerotek is currently seeking an Program Support Specialist for a long term contract at a federal utility in Kalispell, MT. Holiday, Vacation and access to competitive benefits is provided.

This position performs a wide variety of evaluative work to support the District Manager in verifying that facilities, equipment, materials, supplies, vehicles, and other resources are available when needed to support the safe operation, maintenance, and construction functions.
Duties include:

  • Conduct analyses and provide recommendations for corrective actions for equipment, materials, supplies, and vehicle issues that impact the District. Prepare reports on study findings and recommendations. Use analysis to create detailed presentations based on findings and present recommendations/solutions to District Managers and supervisors.
  • Support the development of any new project authorization requests (PARs) for the District on both electrical and non-electrical capital projects. Draft/prepare documentation for necessary facility modifications when required.
  • Support the Non-Electric Plant (NEP) program for the District:
  • Participate in studies, analyses, and evaluations of NEP facilities.
  • Draft/prepare initial project scopes and justifications.
  • Support acquisition of tools and equipment for the District:
  • Work with District Manager and supervisors to identify Tools and Equipment Acquisition Program (TEAP) needs;
  • Verify that requests are properly scoped and justified, and provide cost estimates according to established criteria and processes;
  • Provide recommendations on replacement, based on knowledge of the frequency of maintenance and costs, and uses of the equipment;
  • Research availability of equipment, sources, delivery options and work to expedite delivery of equipment to validate that system needs are met.
  • Coordinate vehicle replacements for the District. Track vehicle maintenance via GSA website

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in business management, logistics management, engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 5 years of engineering operations experience is required. This experience may encompass inventory control/coordination, production coordination, fleet coordination, material requisition/coordination or similar positions.
  • Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of engineering operations and progressively more technical in nature and must include a working knowledge of automated data systems.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering operations policies and procedures such as material and equipment inventory and control.
  • Knowledge of and experience with processes, automated records and control systems for acquisitions, accountability, control and disposal of facilities, equipment, materials, supplies, vehicles, and other resources.
