Job Summary:
The UNC REX Cardiac Medicine Intermediate
Care Unit is located on the 7th floor of the Heart and Vascular
Hospital. This 24 bed unit provides intermediate level care to patients with
cardiac conditions and multiple complex co-morbidities. This includes patients
with heart failure, dysrhythmias, heart attacks, pre- and post-cardiac/vascular
procedure, as well as medical patients with a strong cardiac history. The staff
on this unit serves adult and geriatric patients.
Our rooms are equipped with GE
monitors at the bedside and a computer for real time documentation. The rooms are organized to provide support
for family members who wish to stay with their loved ones.
