Senior Accountant

Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group, in collaboration with a national home remodeling company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic and growing team! Responsibilities: Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with company’s established schedule Performed general ledger month-end closing activities (e.g. accruals, G/L and sub-ledger reconciliations) Prepare, review and analyze balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations Provide support to the treasury management function Partner with and assist the Finance team in budgeting and forecasting Assist with annual external audits including preparation of documentation Ensure SOX compliance by continuously reviewing and implementing compliance process and procedures Recommend and implement improvement processes Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications/Background Profile: 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience; experience preferred in public accounting Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field required; advanced degrees preferred Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license or CPA candidate desired Experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics or other larger ERP Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Access and Advanced Excel Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and relevant accounting standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills Qualified candidates should send their resume AND call Sparks Group for additional details.
