An outstanding and well known community hospital in South Carolina is actively interviewing for a Senior Nursing Director to oversee Perioperative Services. Join this outstanding health care system, and lead a team of tenured Operating Room (OR) and Surgical Services professionals.

This 300+ bed medical center, well known for its specialty service lines and commitment to the community, is actively seeking a Nursing Director to drive operations in Perioperative Services. This Nurse Leader will join a facility well known for cutting-edge treatments and innovative practice models. Offering a full range of services, including Emergency, Birthing, Neuroscience, and Oncology Care, this Medical Center has become a well-known beacon of superior patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Supported by an amazing and experienced staff of CNOR Nurse Managers, OR Nursing Supervisors, Scrub and Circulating RNs, and support staff, the Senior Perioperative Director will find a unit that feels like a family. This person will oversee operating suites, procedure rooms, surgery beds, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The Perioperative Nursing Director will also oversee a tenured team of Sterile Processing / Central Supply Managers, Supervisors, and Technologists.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Admin. Director of Perioperative Nursing will work collaboratively with other hospital directors and administrators to set departmental strategy for financial and clinical performance. Strong experience in budgeting and staffing policy and procedure, as well as experience applying LEAN management techniques will help secure the financial future of the department.

From a clinical standpoint, you’ll play a leading role in establishing and supporting developmental initiatives for the large Surgical Services staff. Working with the health care system’s Nurse Director of Education, you’ll develop educative initiatives and programs that will spark interest in the staff and maintain adherence to evidence-based practices. Having recently received national recognition as a Pediatric Sedation Center of Excellence, the Senior Perioperative Director will be taking leadership of a strong, well-known Service Line.
