Network Administrator 3Flux LocationWashington, Vancouver Employment TypeONFT Network Administrator 3 Flux is currently seeking a Network Administrator 3 to join our project team onsite with our client in Vancouver, WA. This position is in a fast paced, collaborative environment and requires the ability to act as a proactive self-starter, and at times working with limited direction. Position Responsibilities include: Network Administrator 3 FIN Duties: With oversight and approval from the Manager: Install, troubleshoot, and document network equipment. Equipment includes firewalls, intrusion protection systems, routers, switches and terminal servers. Monitor the health and security of the FIN systems on a daily basis as required in a NOC (Network Operations Center). Coordinate and synergize server room rack arrangements and rack power installations. Install and test network physical layer connections such as CAT5 UTP and optical cables. Prepare and draft Visio drawings, webpages, server icons etc. for the following: Servers and rack layouts. Server floor space management. Network drawings Prepare and draft procedures, and troubleshooting aids using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Final documents and procedures must be reviewed and approved by the Manager. Provide recommendations for new tools by scripting via Batch files, Visual basic, VBscript or other scripting languages. Synergize, build, and maintain servers in a Microsoft Windows environment including Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and 2012. Maintain the server's firmware levels and installations, server build documentation, and server build kits. Evaluate, test and maintain hardware/software associated with the Field Intranet Network. Report any issues to Manager. Current examples are: Hardware HP Proliant type servers Power controllers KVM over cat5 Server racks Seismic Platforms Cisco Network switches, routers etc. Time servers Software RSA Authentication Manager RSA Authentication Agent's File Replication software Symantec End Point software. Symantec Ghosting software. Microsoft website for the FIN network. WSUS (Windows Server Update Service) CISCO's ACS Microsoft based DNS servers, using databases such as Cascade, Sunflower, and special Microsoft Access applications for tracking property and as needed. Under Manager / personnel direction, draft and prepare responses to cyber security alerts, data calls, and risk vector/vulnerability assessment of cyber-attacks. Position Requirements: Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Network Administration, Computer/Information Technology (or closely related field) is required. With an applicable Bachelor's degree, 10 yrs of experience is required. Experience should include implementing and maintaining network security in a large enterprise environment with Quality of Service (QOS). Technical Requirements: 5 years' experience programming, configuration, and testing by command line interface (CLI) on Cisco routers and firewalls (Access Control List) ACL. 5 years' experience coordinating and maintaining NERC CIP requirements for an electrical utility or comparable public or private utility facilities. 5 years' experience implementing and maintaining network security in a large enterprise environment. 5 years' experience performing network management and operations tasks in a large enterprise environment. 5 years' experience with current programming languages. 5 years 'experience in monitoring and coordinating the implementation of Information Systems Security plans, processes and procedures. 2 years' experience working with common network test applications such as Wireshark, CAT5 certification testers, Nessus scanning, NMAP, and Spirent Ethernet test equipment. 2 years' experience with Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, and/or Bentley Micro Station program sufficient to create drawings, webpages and server icons to document procedures.
