Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Developer with BigData SQL/NoSQL MongoDB, Kafka skills and Hadoop Development skills for adoption of big data infrastructure platform for data at rest and realtime data needs.
Understand and Define strategy based on the roadmap New Data Platform for distribution using BigData Hadoop.
Possess broad applicable knowledge of data/database technologies including traditional RDBMS's (SQL Server), and NoSql specifically MongoDB
Assist in building out the DevOps strategy for hosting and managing infrastructure in Hadoop ecosystem
Enable real-time data distribution capability via MongoDB and Apache Kafka
Learn and adapt other new technologies that will be used in the same ecosystem
Requirements:
A seasoned messaging expert with strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and operations. Possesses an established track record with data/database technologies including traditional RDBMS's (SQL Server), and NoSql specifically MongoDB.
Having hands-on development and production experience and a deep understanding of the MongoDB and internals of how it works
Hands-on experience as a developer who has used the heterogeneous Traditional Relational Databases like MSSQL, Oracle DB and NoSQL databases like Couchbase or MongoDB
Strong familiarity file formats such as XML, JSON, Avro, CSV, etc. along with serialization/deserialization options
Passion for writing high quality, including test automation for unit testing and integration testing
Has worked with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, and has ability to write user stories using Agile tools or post-its and participate in agile ceremonies
Familiarity with building multi-threaded applications, and some understanding of distributed systems like Spark, messaging platforms like Kafka, etc., would be a plus
With a Bachelors degree in a Technical discipline and a minimum of 5+ years of related experience, or a masters degree and 5+ years of equivalent industry experience
