We are a friendly trucking company with 280 trucks and 850 trailers. For the past 30 years, we have focused on the upper Midwest and the Western states of CA, OR, WA, UT, CO, and ID. Our main terminal is near St. Paul, MN, but we do have another one in Salt Lake City, UT. Generally, our service map includes the Carolinas, Ohio, and Indiana, along with all of the areas between those places and Minnesota. We also service parts of TX & AZ regularly. Check out what we can offer you below and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.Statement to Potential Drivers:A driver or driver/contractor who has previously had a DOT violation under DOT's drug and alcohol testing regulations will not be considered for a driving position with Transport Designs, inc.  Transport Designs, inc. will not employ a driver who has had a previous violation, even if the individual has successfully completed a SAP return-to-duty process. Receive and follow dispatch orders Communicate using the In-cab ELD Call dispatch from home the day before you are scheduled to return to duty Perform all pre-trip, In transit and post-trip vehicle Inspections daily as required by FMCSA Have in your possession, your own flashlight, a tire pressure gauge, and a tread depth gauge to perform a vehicle inspection and utilize those tools accordingly  Hook up to the correct trailer as directed by the dispatcher Drive vehicle on specified route observing DOT and Transport Designs driving rules and regulations Driver up to 700 miles in each 11/14 hour cycle Work up to 70 hours per week, within federal guidelines, including nights and weekends Communicate with dispatch as directed Sleep in sleeper bunk when taking breaks or during overnight stops Deliver product and assist in loading and unloading as assigned by dispatch Backhaul product or return to a particular location as directed by dispatch Communicate immediately with Transport Designs for direction on breakdowns, accidents, equipment, damage, product spills, emergencies, and any other problems Sweep every trailer after delivery is complete, this includes empty trailers that are picked up for customers by a driver Fuel vehicle as needed at approved locations Prepare trip reports and DOT logs as needed and mandated by FMCSA Be responsible for, obtain and turn in all receipts for any expenses incurred Participate in all Transport Designs' safety programs and training sessions Comply with all DOT regulations as well as Transport Designs' policies Communicate, read, understand and write in English as required to perform essential functions Demonstrate sound judgment in the operation of the vehicle at all times What we offer Competitive pay, all miles by PC Miler mileage, address to address Paid twice a week by direct deposit on Tuesdays and Fridays Performance and Safety Bonuses Extra Stop, Detention, Layover and Breakdown pay 98% drop & hook 1,200 mile average length of haul 10,000 to 13,000 miles per month 1-week vacation after one year and 120,000 miles We utilize PrePass (tolls included), TripPak and OmniTracs Flexible home time Rider policy Pet policy Benefits Medical Insurance is available for the driver after 90 days Additional benefits such as life, dental, disability, and vision (available after 90 days) Paid vacation after 1 year and 120,000 miles Annual safety bonus Qualifications 2 years of recent driving experience Class A CDL A self-managing attitude (we don't micro-manage so please don't expect it) 23 years of age Decent and safe work history No major violations or DOT recordable accidents in the last 3 years We look forward to hearing from you!
