The Public Sector Treasury Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for managing and maintaining a portfolio of primarily public sector clients. The TSM identifies new business opportunities, proposes and delivers appropriate Treasury Services products and solutions for new/existing clients who look to the TS TSM to be their trusted financial services advisor. It is the goal of the TSM to deliver exceptional service while employing risk mitigation processes for both the client and the Firm.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Executes NA Public Sector strategy by identifying new business opportunities across a suite of solutions.
  • Develops and maintains an active sales pipeline
  • Works with internal partners, including bankers and CSO’s to maintain and grow an existing portfolio
  • Serves as a trusted advisor, leveraging core knowledge to recommend and promote Treasury Services solutions to clients while working within the risk parameters that protect the firm.
  • Develops account plans for select clients.
  • Conveys a professional, knowledgeable and confident demeanor.
  • Builds collaborative internal relationships to develop and foster partnerships with assigned Portfolio Managers, Bankers, Service and Implementation partners and other internal partners.
  • Maintains an active calling plan; regularly engaging clients and prospects to communicate key Treasury Services messages to drive business results.
  • Manages customer expectations by communicating up front timelines and deliverables.
  • Works closely with Implementation and CSO colleagues to ensure smooth transition of requests.
  • Takes ownership of escalating Treasury Management client issues to the appropriate partner (Service, Implementation, etc.)
  • Actively engages in development of junior sales associate staff.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in treasury management, sales and relationship management experience.
  • Experience with defense and/or federal healthcare market
  • Strong understanding of government contracting
  • Proficient in consultative selling and pipeline development
  • Strong working relationship with clients and colleagues
  • Understanding of Compliance, Know Your Customer and Risk Awareness
  • Competence in assessing new opportunities/prospecting, contacting key decision makers
  • Ability to recognize a client's needs and apply solution selling, which requires a deep comprehension of TS products
  • Strong Relationship Management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to position and close new business
  • Comprehension of customer's industries, business needs and potential solutions
  • Strong account planning and demonstrated execution
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Time management, organizational and planning skills
  • Proven PC skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and internet based systems experience
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Ability to work under deadlines and pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
  • This role supports US Federal government contracts that require, U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent status
