The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department. The Automotive Service Manager will operate the service department at maximum production while building a loyal customer base, setting and obtaining objectives, and maintaining service records. The Automotive Service Manager will adhere to and promote the Company's mission while operating within the confines of the Company’s core values and contributing to the success of their functional team.

Automotive Service Manager Responsibilities:
-Serving customers and leading technical staff. 
-Application of in-depth automotive repair knowledge, people skills, customer relations, and scheduling.
-Serve as liaison between technicians and customers.
-Coach, lead, train and supervise technicians while assisting with the purchase of parts, materials, and equipment.
-Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and/or customers.
-Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
-Use scheduling and service bay optimization techniques and tools to maximize the service department’s productivity.
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

-3-5 years auto service technical experience.
-1+ years as Service Manager or Writer experience.
-ASE Service Consultant Certification preferred.
-College degree/coursework a plus. 
-Valid driver’s license.
-Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-Customer-focused attitude with ability to work well in a team environment.
-Willingness to work Saturdays.
