Job Description
PIPEFITTER JOURNEYMAN
INDUSTRY: SHIPYARD
LOCATION: NORFOLK, VA
PAY RATES: $23.75 for local candidates
Job Requirements
Must have 6 years of pipefitting experience, 3 of which in the maritime repair environment
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications and Navy/MSC/ABS standard items and manuals.
Comprehensive knowledge of ship repair terminology
Experience with p-73 joint fit-up
Knowledge of silver brazing theory
Able to certify in MT Braze (B-1 and B-2)
Able to wear PPE, incl. Respirator, safety harness, and flotation gear
Familiarity with the NAVSEA/Military standards and drawings
EOE M/F Vet
