Job Description

UPC is looking for experienced CNC Operators for production on our 1st & 2nd shifts. Machinery centers include Komo, Biesse and Innova using AutoCAD, Router Cim & G-Code. Materials include woods, plastics and non-ferrous metals.

The operator sets up and controls the operation of single or multiple computer numerically controlled (CNC) production machines for the process of manufacturing products. Each machine has its own configuration of routers, drill banks, tool magazines and saw heads.

Our CNC Operators feed high quality, cut materials to the rest of the plant for assembly and packaging to our customers. Candidates most successful in this position will have a proven track record of attention to detail, highly dependable and self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

  1. Setup machine
  2. Understanding of manufacturing process and interaction with other departments
  3. Follow detailed drawings to specific measurements while maintaining quality and timely production.
  4. Responsible for quality check to ensure accuracy
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of machine operation experience, on same/like machines a plus
  • Experience with wood and plastics preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focused
  • Able to lift 50 to 70lbs frequently; walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Must have outstanding communication skills.
  • General understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
