Job Description

Labor Time Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface directly with the client, internal and external authoring teams, on-site validation teams, and other regional members around the globe to produce publications
  • Support efforts to resolve customer concerns related to labor time guides, bulletins, service manual, etc.
  • Create change request documents to communicate Labor Time Guide updates to authoring team for processing
  • Verify source documents for accuracy
  • Manage new and current specification and reference documents as related to the role
  • Apply automotive knowledge and utilize multiple source files in order to identify appropriate content for use in publications
  • Support Labor Time Guide impacted special projects
  • Conform to security policies and data integrity
  • Respond respectfully to requests for information
  • Ensure accurate and proper reporting on project progress to leadership
  • Support meetings as required

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of similar work experience, experience with database functionality preferred
  • Previous experience with vehicle service and service information preferred
  • Exceptional PC skills and intermediate knowledge of MS Office (i.e. MS Access, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Database knowledge and skills, with the ability to create reports and run queries
  • Working knowledge of automotive service industry, service equipment and shop safety

Top 3 Skills this candidate must have (hard skills, not soft skills)

  • Computer skills Microsoft applications (especially Access, Excel), Windows applications (Explorer, Internet, etc.)
  • Automotive skills Working knowledge of automotive service industry, service equipment and shop safety
  • GM knowledge Experience working within GM. Preferred knowledge of GM CCA systems (ex: EPC, GSA, LTG, SI, etc.).

Some personality traits preferred would be:

  • A person who is self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly, set priority, and work with minimal oversite; understanding when to escalate issues as needed.
    • During the training phase my team and I will be more hands-on to get them up to speed, but the expectation would be that they will be able to work without micro management
    • This is especially important due to the WFH situation we will have for at least the next 2 months
  • Has a One Team attitude
    • We have team touch point meetings every morning to share information, discuss issues, etc.
    • The individual should also be open to helping other team members out as needed
  • A person who is detailed, and who likes to investigate issues and to verify information. Not afraid to ask questions
    • The main part of our job is to perform read across, and implement changes to update the labor time guide, or resolve dealer issues
