When you come to work, you'll be:
  • Primarily responsible for revenue reconciliation, posting and analysis on a daily and monthly basis
  • Helping the company to scale up and grow consistently year after year by playing a dynamic role in the financial forecast and budgeting process for the organization
  • Reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures in use
  • Analyzing and forecasting financial statements, reports and records
  • Participating and providing input in ERP and other system upgrades or conversions
  • Spotting errors and suggesting ways to improve efficiency and results for the organization
  • Responsible for maintaining general ledgers and month-end/year end close out processes
  • Handling fixed asset processing and reporting
  • Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments providing insight and proposals for improvements and KPI’s
  • Providing input into various department’s goal setting procedures
  • Reviewing journal entries of external sources
  • Handling general accounting functions including accruals, prepaid and amortization, recording of journal entries, account reconciliations preparation and fixed assets
  • Completing financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits to include tax filings as well as sales tax and use taxes
  • Acting as primary liaison between CFO, Jr. Controller, AP, Payroll, and Directors, serving to enforce and monitor compliance with company-wide accounting principles, policies and procedures
  • Reporting all issues and challenges to the CFO directly as necessary
There are some MUST HAVES:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 6 years’ experience as a controller, accounting supervisors or senior accountant
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent communication and mathematical skills
  • Must be able to work from complex spreadsheets at an expert level of excel
  • Ability to achieve aggressive deadlines working accurately at a fast pace
  • Expert knowledge of accounting principles and applications
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
