Mechanic - Vineyard Equipment Repairs/Set-up

Job Description
PROFILE:
•  3 years + experience in similar position preferred.
•  Background in Viticulture / Agriculture equipment or similar would be a plus.
•  Vocational or college degree / certificate in agricultural equipment would be a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

•  Diagnose equipment problems and determine repairs as needed.
•  Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical repairs
•  Recognize and troubleshoot electrical & hydraulic repairs
•  Setting up new equipment in shop or field
•  Test and calibrate equipment to ensure it is functioning within specified standards
•  Maintain machines during winter
•  Promote occupational safe standards

SKILLS include but are not limited to:
•  Present a professional appearance and handle customers in a positive and professional manner
•  Ability to maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers.
•  Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical/electronic systems.
•  Basic computer skills.
•  Extremely flexible availability during the harvest season - mid August to the end October. (overtime paid)
•  Perform work in a quality/timely fashion

REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver's License required
Be able to lift up to 75lbs
PC literate; experience with computer or similar device preferred (Microsoft office).
Must be highly flexible, able to prioritize schedule, and work on multiple projects while still meeting deadlines
Bilingual Spanish/English would be a plus

Evolution of the job:
•  Start-up of new implements in the field with customers
•  Train customer's operator on standard usage of machine
•  Perform service calls with stronger troubleshooting skills
