POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Supervisor oversees the Accounts Payable function including processing of invoices, expenses, credit memos, statements, and disbursements. This position supervises the Accounts Payable team and ensures work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.  

CORE FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
•	Supervise the accounts payable staff to ensure all deadlines are met.
•	Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives and monitor and provide direction on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
•	Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
•	Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
•	Process detailed and extensive accruals monthly.
•	Book credit card expenses.
•	Reconcile and review general ledger accounts within the deadline set for each period end.
•	Assist with processing operational and store invoices.
•	Review all vendor statements and contact the vendors regarding any discrepancies or missing invoices.
•	Submit and process sales tax returns monthly and quarterly.
•	Compile and submit personal property filings.
•	Support budget and forecasting activities.
•	Handle all other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

•	Accurate and fast-paced ten key and typing skills.
•	Software knowledge of general computer systems including Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel.
•	Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
•	Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all customers and team members.
•	Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•	Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills and be detail oriented.
•	Ability to exercise good judgment independently and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
•	Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•	Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills.
•	Ability to multi-task under pressure and meet required deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with prior supervisory experience is preferred.  Experience with Great Plains or other automated accounting software systems is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 
•	Must be able to remain in a stationary, working position.
•	Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
•	Occasionally required to do light lifting of supplies and materials.
