The Role

 

We have an amazing opportunity for a benefits manager. You will be responsible for employee benefits, health & welfare, wellness, retirement benefit plans, wellness program, leave of absence outsourced management, time off programs including vacation, sick, parental leave, and leave of absence policies including FMLA and other state regulated policies.

  • Design, implement, maintain, and ensure compliance of health, welfare, retirement, and wellness plans and programs while ensuring consistency with best practices. Assist in the development of strategic total rewards plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis, develop solutions, plan, implement, and resolve operational issues.
  • Provide technical expertise and project management for operational projects to include (but not limited to) annual open enrollment, benefits vendor changes, and significant benefits technology changes
  • Interprets and explains Benefits policies, procedures, and rules and ensures legal compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Serves as subject matter expert in Health & Welfare Benefits, wellness and leave of absence policies and programs
  • Responsible for vendor performance management and outside consultant interaction

About You

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • You possess 3+ years of Benefits experience
  • You possess Expert knowledge of federal and state regulations that govern benefit plans and leave management to include ERISA, ACA, IRS, FMLA, and ADAAA
  • You have the ability to manage large scale projects to include annual open enrollment, benefits vendor changes, and significant benefits technology changes
  • You have the ability to research benefits plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and insurance certificates to identify answers and solutions to employee inquiries
  • You have the ability to monitor, analyze and report effectively on data analytics
  • You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
