Job Description

Bridge Crane Mechanic / Bridge Crane Technician

Basic Requirements:

-Education, High School Diploma.
– Training, trade school or equivalent.
– Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in troubleshooting and repairing fabrication equipment and machinery.
– Minimum of 5 years experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems, cylinders, motors and valves.
– Minimum 5 years industrial experience in troubleshooting and repairing bridge cranes, forklifts, manlifts and other rolling equipment.
– Minimum 5 years experience in repairing and installing basic plumbing systems for water, sewer, air, CO2, oxygen and propane.
– Minimum 5 years experience in repairing and installing conveyor systems and cabinet blast equipment.
– Minimum 5 years experience in repairing and maintaining large stationary air compressors and air driers.

Duties:

1. Repair of bridge cranes, including: Replacing wheels, bearings, drives and assist with electrical components.
2. Perform preventive maintenance inspections on: Cranes, Forklifts and manlifts. Inspect chains, slings and lifting hardware on a scheduled basis.
3. Change lubrication, cooling fluid and filters in all plant equipment, both rolling and stationary.
4. Provide equipment lubrication on a scheduled basis and develop a schedule for preventive maintenance on equipment.
5. Set up all equipment on an inspection sequence that minimizes down time due to emergency repairs.
6. Inspect equipment, machinery and tools to make sure they can be safely used. Inspection of equipment should be done to a level that assures its use will meet OSHA safety standards.
