Job Summary

• Responsible for providing direct resident care under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
• Schedule will depend on needs of the department
• Assists patients with activities of daily living which may include but is not limited to: bathing, dressing, bathroom assistance or incontinent care, oral hygiene, hair and nail care, feeding, and transporting.
• Assists patients with ambulation using assistive devices and lifts as required. Turns and re-positions bed-bound patients.
• Takes and records vital signs and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
• Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms including changing bed linens.
• Updates patient chart after every shift to include narratives about activities, observations, etc.

Job Requirements

• Currently certified nursing assistant per state regulations with 3-6 months of experience or training.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, push, and pull more than 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to work as scheduled while demonstrating punctuality and dependability.
