Solutions and Pricing Team Supervisor - Hermosa Beach, CA

The Job:

The Solutions and Pricing Team Supervisor is primarily responsible for the supervision of the team and managing the department’s daily operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Hire, train and orient new team members. Develop and track departmental performance metrics. Ensure customer service timeliness and accuracy standards. Ensure that the team regularly engages in training that helps to enhance knowledge and stay abreast of relevant technology that helps them provide excellent sales support, including identifying and proactively engaging upsell opportunities, to our partners.
  • Supervise the team’s engagement to provide pricing proposals, contract generation, order submission, installation provisioning and post-sales support.
  • Manage escalations, ensuring issues and conflicts are addressed in a timely and effective manner. Ensure that management and other team members are updated on issues as appropriate.
  • Remain informed on the rapidly changing telecom industry. Proactively engage with providers and other partners to learn and stay abreast of new technology, pricing strategies, sales opportunities, and practices.
  • Determine areas for improvement in efficiency of the team’s operations. Evaluate and make recommendations for innovative enhancements to operations, training or work processes.
  • Other related projects and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related area strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a telecommunications, technology, customer service, sales, pricing, operations, or other closely related field desirable. A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to select, motivate and provide supervision and training to a team of high performing professionals.
  • Must be able to effectively manage, strategize and prioritize a large and complex workload, including the ability to parse and delegate work for maximum efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and productively resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent time management and team building skills with the ability to effectively address and resolve partner and provider concerns and issues in a timely and diplomatic manner.
  • Must be detail, process and quality oriented. Possess strong organizational skills including excellent research, problem solving and analytical skills. Previous experience with high level data analysis, project management and process improvement a plus.
  • Must be motivated by working in a high energy sales environment with the ability to do independent as well as team planning and goal setting.
  • Needs well developed skills in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based or Mac computer applications. Must demonstrate high proficiency and experience with Excel.
  • High level of integrity and discretion with an ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must be available to travel for Company sponsored events, meetings and other business-related activities. (approx. 10% a year)
  • Knowledge of Telecom industry and typical Telecom Services sold strongly desired.

Compensation:

This is an exempt position. Compensation is commensurate on experience.
