Job Description
DailyMedia operates DailyOM and OMFIT, dynamic health and wellness platforms that reach over 4 million readers each day. We are seeking a detail-oriented Photo Editor to join our growing Marketing team and support our digital marketing efforts by selecting and editing images for our campaigns and site. The ideal candidate will have strong photo editing, layout, and project management skills with a curiosity to understand consumers and digital marketing.
This position is based at our headquarters in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara, CA, although it is currently a work from home position until our offices reopen. We offer paid health insurance to full-time employees and, when our office is open, electric standing desks, paid parking, and an optional organic healthy lunch each day.
We are looking for someone to join our team immediately.
Responsibilities
Select and edit images for use on DailyOM.com and other marketing channels to optimize engagement and conversions.
Create slideshow, carousel, and other types of ads for various ad platforms and audiences.
Review work for correct sizing and layout for each channel and stay updated on brand style guidelines and digital marketing platform rules and parameters to improve the effectiveness of creative.
Communicate with other team members regularly to align on projects, best practices, and shared learnings and insights.
Work directly in project management tools to track, manage, and deliver photo editing assignments on time.
Minimum Qualifications
Adept and experienced user of Photoshop and other photo editing software and tools to adjust lighting, skintones, and crop and size photos for digital assets.
Strong visual aesthetics and skill at crafting stories using images and text that drives consumer engagement and interest.
Detail-oriented photo editor with high standards for delivering quality imagery and ads, maintaining the integrity of the brand’s image, and incorporating consumer insights.
Curious, creative person with the ability to work at a fast-paced, data-focused digital content company that uses a rapid test and learn strategy to inform, develop, and launch creative and content.
Interest in digital advertising, advertising platforms, and consumer digital marketing.
Strong communication skills with thorough understanding and knowledge of photo editing and ad sizing practices.
Ability to work in a highly-collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
Comfort incorporating feedback verbally and via digital notes/comments quickly to complete projects on tight deadlines.
