Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist with a strong auditing and/or compliance experience. You will be responsible for learning the renewable fuels sector and managing a book of clients, conducting site visits, onboarding new clients, and building expertise in certain fuel types and/or regulation types.

Compliance Specialists come from diverse backgrounds, such as accounting, engineering, law, or general compliance management. Their core strengths are strong analytical skills, project management, and subject area knowledge.

Core duties of a team lead in their area of expertise include:

  • Technical sales support.
  • Development of new services related to the service area.
  • Completion and/or assignment and oversight of service area tasks.
  • Quality assurance of service area deliverables.
  • Prioritization of service area tasks.
  • Oversight, training and development of employees functioning in service area.
  • General problem solving and technical support of service area.
  • Contribution to performance reviews.
  • Educating clients and compliance specialists on proper procedure and adherence to the company's audit programs.
  • Investigates issues of non-conformance with assigned clients, prepares communications concerning non-conformance and required corrective actions.
  • Preparation, review and submission of audit reports for issuance to clients and downstream parties.
  • Preparation, review and submission of data for regulatory filings (e.g. RFS reports)
  • Works as a key member of the team to ensure compliance integrity and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct client onboarding and site visits to client sites.
  • Performs shipment verification and completes Q-RIN shipment verification reports for foreign producers
  • Write technical reports, such as engineering reviews

 

Compliance Auditor Core Abilities

  • Technical writing. Strong critical thinking skills and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members through email, phone, and face-to-face interaction.
  • Project management.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, experience with auditing data, technical data, regulatory data and manipulating spreadsheets.
  • Dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to contribute to the team.
  • Proficiency with computer technology including: Outlook, keyboard proficiency, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
