This Position is located in Wixom, Mi.
3CON Corporation specializes in custom equipment and tool construction in the automotive industry and offers its customers a comprehensive range of solutions and services.
We are expanding our motivated team and services. This is a brand new division of 3Con USA. We have an immediate opening for;
Pattern Maker Cut & Sew Specialist/Seamstress
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Creation of feasibility samples, prototypes, and serial parts for automotive interiors
· Support in all internal and external cut, sew, and development processes
· Quality monitoring and optimization of pattern to tools in cooperation with the customer
· Presentation and review reporting when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
· Industrial sewing machine operation
· Knowledge of pattern development software (Optitex, Gerber AccuMark, and/or AutoCAD)
· 2+ year experience in automotive interior and/or seating (ideal candidate)
· Interest in innovation and digital technologies is an advantage
Background in other creative practices is an advantage
Your area of responsibility:
Creation /manufacturing of sewn patterns for the automotive interior area assembly work at the customer's site. Develop patterns for specific projects in concert with the customers. Provide expertise suggestions and support to our customers in the cut & sew area.
Your profile:
Completed training as a vehicle cut & sew, upholsterer, vehicle interior decorator or interior decorator • Creation / production of sewn patterns in the automotive interior. Supporting the plant and at the customer's site where needed.
If basic knowledge available, 3Con is willing to invest in retraining the candidate! Candidate must be independent and self-reliant and a willingness to travel. Very good sewing skills • CAD knowledge (Optitex or AutoCAD) is an advantage • German speaking is an advantage •
