Job Description

The Culture and Talent Manager provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to the Area Directors for all markets with regard to recruiting initiatives. This position serves as a brand ambassador leading the effort in identifying top talent and leading all recruiting and retention efforts. In addition, this position will support different areas such as training, onboarding and recognition initiatives.

Essential Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Leads the company's recruiting efforts via online platforms such as ATS, job boards, social media, or networking groups; this should include drafting job postings to attract skilled applicants
  • Coordinate with HR Department and Operations Department to assure that recruiting strategies are in line with organizational goals
  • Partners with the Area Directors to identify staffing needs and develops strategies to assist the market in meeting their specific manpower demands.
  • Identifies recruiting platforms that are relevant, innovative and designs recruiting campaigns in a cost effective manner
  • Conducts initial review of management candidates and selects resumes for consideration. Once the AD has identified a candidate of interest, sets up initial phone interview, conduct background screening to include checking professional references and management assessment.
  • Develops strategies or make recommendations to reduce turnover, increase retention and employee engagement.
  • Develops standardized training practices in the areas of position training, onboarding training and system's training at the unit level.
  • Supports new restaurant openings by partnering with the Ops team and providing support with recruiting strategies and training programs.
  • Oversees the recognition and appreciation programs and ensures they are effective at supporting the organizational goals.
  • Design and implement best in class performance assessment systems
  • Conducts team member engagement surveys to assess organizational needs at large.

  • Knowledge of restaurant industry a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, high level of attention to detail and logical decision making.
  • Strong skill in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Strong skill in reading, writing, math, analyzing, and interpreting general business documents.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • High drive, sense of urgency, persistence, and initiative; ability to produce results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects with sensitive deadlines.
  • Must display integrity, discretion, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to travel to company and attend events as required.
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, good driving record, and full insurance coverage.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • At least 2 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated strength in recruiting competencies with particular strength in time management.
