We have an immediate opening and excellent professional growth opportunity for an Environmental Planner/Scientist to join our team. The Environmental Planner/Scientist will:

  • Manage and provide quality assurance/quality control of CEQA and NEPA documents
  • Conduct field work necessary to complete planning technical studies, environmental documents, and policy documents for specific projects as assigned
  • Manage and complete assignments within parameters of job timeframes and budget
  • Present at client and/or city meetings/hearings pertaining to existing and potential projects
  • Consult with federal, state and local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of projects
  • Lead and participate in company outreach/marketing and business development efforts
  • Provide staff mentoring and development


Qualified candidates will have completed a BA/BS degree or higher (preferably in environmental science, urban planning or a related discipline). The successful candidate will possess 3+ years of related experience with demonstrated experience in environmental impact assessment, land use planning, land development/entitlements, and/or urban design. Experience with a role in a private environmental consulting firm, including schedule and budget management skills is preferred. Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills are required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large multi-disciplinary team are also required. The candidate will have a willingness to travel as projects required.
