Production Manager - Full-time / Part-time

ByoPlanet in Athens, GA is seeking a Production Manager.The Production Manager will be responsible to organize and oversee the manufacturing of ByoPlanet electrostatic sprayer units, responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. for developing, implementing and executing product-focused continuous improvement (CI) and value engineering projects for all facets of ByoPlanet products and components, whether produced internally or sourced from vendors.

The ideal candidate will have deep know-how in mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly & test processes and procedures. The ability to direct production personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Critical decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures.

The ultimate goal is to ensure the deployment of lean and efficient manufacturing processes that meets customer requirements by

• Building a production and test team that supports a rapidly expanding production volume for electrostatic chemical dispensing machines
• Providing strategic leadership for the production team
• Providing day-to-day management of the production team and its activities

Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Understanding ByoPlanet's customer expectations of and needs from a product and quality standpoint, and ensure such understanding is embedded in the production activities
• Planning and organizing production schedules and manpower requirements
• Assessing project and resource requirements, and estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timelines
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
• Overseeing and designing production processes
• Reduces expenses and increases productivity across all production activities
• Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
• Organizing relevant training sessions
• Evaluating existing production methods to identify improvement opportunities and propose, implement and monitor effectiveness of improvements.
• Collaborating with production engineering and design engineering teams to provide DFMA and PRR documentation to ensure a smooth transfer from development to production
• Supporting the supply chain team as required, to resolve vendor issues with component production
• Supporting the quality management team to ensure compliance with the quality management system and product quality standards; actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Working to ensure ByoPlanet's products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.

Position Requirements

• Proven experience as production director
• Deep knowledge of production management
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, electro-mechanical assembly, 3D printing and sheet metal fabrication
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
• Outstanding communication ability
• Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
• BSc/Ba in Production Management, Industrial Engineering or relevant field
