Technology Specialist

21st Century Equipment LLC has a new full-time position responsible for the internal and external support of agricultural technology products.  This will include the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting/repair of precision agricultural components on John Deere equipment to include planters, combines, sprayers and tractors.  Position will also provide employee and customer product trainings.  Requires excellent computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to be forklift certified. Must be able to multitask and be comfortable presenting in a group training environment. Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in technological support of agricultural equipment and/or post-secondary degree in an agriculture-related field. Position requires extended periods of standing, climbing, bending and ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, as well as extensive hours on a computer, and extended hours during peak farming conditions. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions. EOE.

REPORTS TO:   Location Manager

WORKS CLOSELY WITH:   Service Manager and all location personnel.

JOB SUMMARY:   This person is responsible for internal and external support of technology products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (listed in order of importance):  

• Resource for installation of technology related products
• Resource for continued maintenance of technology related products
• Resource for troubleshooting and repair of technology related products
• Key resource/assist with continued technology education efforts across all department personnel.
• Must be comfortable presenting in group training environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in technological support of agricultural equipment and/or post-secondary degree in an agriculture related field.

SPECIAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent computer skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks. Mechanical Aptitude and Skills. Able to obtain forklift certification.
