Job Description

Works under the supervision of Nursing Manager Supervisor RN LPN and is ultimately responsible to the Director and the Assistant Director of Nursing as applicable. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures. May perform other duties assigned. At Riverside Convalescent Center in Saluda, comprehensive nursing and rehabilitation services are provided in a delightful homelike environment. Spacious private and semi-private rooms are richly appointed with close proximity to the central nursing station. This 60-bed long term care facility is located on the Middle Peninsula in Virginia. A scenic patio area is the perfect spot for cookouts and socialization with family and friends. In addition, therapy services are available to ensure that residents function at their highest levels. With a dedicated team of nurses, nursing aides, therapists, dietary, and environment staff, our reputation sets the standard for long term care in the Saluda area. Saluda is the county seat for Middlesex County, located on the Middle Peninsula in Virginia. It is close in proximity to Urbanna, Virginia, which is a charming waterfront town and home of the Urbanna Oyster Festival. Urbanna was incorporated on April 2, 1902, comprising an area of less than a half square mile. The Town of Urbanna remains the county's largest commercial center. Education: Certificate Program Nursing Assistant/Aid Required ONLY for new CNA grads within 120 days of program completion Experience: Must have a minimum of 6 months of C.N.A experience to qualify for a PRN status. Certification / Licensure: Basic Life Support required (within 30 days of hire), Standard First Aide required (within 30 days of hire) and only for Assisted Living or Memory Support unites only. Have never had a finding of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of patient property entered on the Nurse Aide Registry
