The Night Assistant Nursing Manager Medical Intensive Care Unit MICU will join the critical care night team, reporting to the Nurse Manager and Hospital House Supervisor. The Night RN Critical Care Nurse Manager will be accountable for all departmental operations of the Medical Intensive Care Unit MICU. The Night Assistant Nursing Manager Medical Intensive Care Unit MICU will coordinate staff assignments, implement attainable departmental goals, ensure exceptional care is delivered for every patient, and act as a resource for the department staff, patients, and families. 

The ideal Night Assistant Nursing Manager Medical Intensive Care Unit MICU will have their BSN, hold an active RN license with a recent critical care ICU clinical background in a general Intensive Care Unit ICU, medical intensive care unit MICU,  surgical intensive care unit SICU, coronary care unit CCU, cardiac intensive care unit CICU, CVIUC, or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit PICU. Additionally, the  ideal Night Assistant Nursing Manager Medical Intensive Care Unit MICU will have previous clinical leadership experience as a director, manager, supervisor, coordinator, or charge nurse. Ideally, the Night Assistant RN Manager MICU will either hold their CCRN certification or be willing to obtain it within the first 6 months of hire. Most importantly, the Night Assistant Nursing Manager Medical Intensive Care Unit MICU will be a positive, supportive, hands on leader that is a great communicator, especially when leading teams or delivering sensitive information to patients and their families.
