Job Summary
QTC Medical Group has a Radiology Technician opening for an experienced professional seeking a rewarding and challenging opportunity supporting medical services for an Intelligence Community customer. Position may be part-time and candidate must possess current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and follow established procedures for patient care and safety
- Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards
- Obtain quality radiographs of patients in an acceptable timeframe; Process and accurately digitize images with correct patient data
- Prepare examination rooms for radiographic procedures
- Review each exam for technical accuracy
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Comply with radiation safety guidelines and operates radiographic equipment safely
- Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies:
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer documentation
- Knowledge of anatomy
- Ability to provide the highest level of patient care
Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology (CV-IR) certification preferred
