Job Description
Our client, a manufacturing company in the Norton Shores area, is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team. 3rd shift - Opening Position will involve:
- Review and oversee production departments; performance that exceeds metric goals
- Oversee manufacturing functions, production equipment, set-up, and storage
- Monitor and improve manufacturing measurements and results on a continuous basis
- Facilitate corrective actions and improvements
- Promote safe associate and operation practices in production requirements
- Teach associates the specific skills and knowledge requirements
- Ensure a safe work environment exists at all times
- Ensure that all employees follow proper safety rules and procedures such as machine lockout, guarding, material handling practices, and insure proper use of machine controls and safety mechanisms
- Ensure operators are trained and are held accountable for the quality of the product they produce including responsibility for the documentation of quality data as required by the process control plan
- Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as assigned by the supervisor
- Must have: 3+ years of supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
