About this job

Job Description

We are:

Where art starts, but that's only the beginning. We're the movement for the liberation of creative expression. We believe that art is for everyone, and we're creating the cultural context for how it is created, discovered, and shared.

Founded in August 2000, DeviantArt is the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts, and a platform for emerging and established artists to exhibit, promote, and share their work with an enthusiastic, art-centric community. We have over 48 million registered members and attract over 50 million unique visitors per month. Our members—known as deviants—upload thousands of pieces of original artworks every day, everything from painting and sculpture to digital art, pixel art, films, and anime.

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Brand Partnerships team and participate in various stages of partnership sales.

You are:

Self motivated and resourceful with a can-do positive attitude. You’re proficient in basic computer skills such as MSOffice, Google Suite, CRM tools and know your way around a Mac. You have 2+ years’ online client and account management experience, preferably in a media, entertainment and/or advertising related setting.

You know how to explain your thought process in a clear and concise way, and you're not intimidated by tough challenges. Shifting priorities, last minute deadlines and a little bit of chaos should feel as comfortable to you as a pair of worn-in shoes! Are deadlines a challenge? No way! They come naturally to you..

Your attention to detail means that you not only caught the error in the previous sentence, but it also made you cringe :)

You have strong time management skills and are an effective problem-solver. You know how to assess situations, evaluate options, make decisions, draw conclusions, and exercise judgment. You can successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

You’re an effective communicator with excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. You’re adaptable and can shift, manage and succeed within a rapidly changing environment. You’re self motivated with the ability to manage projects independently, and you’re data driven - you can easily interpret, identify, analyze and present data.

You should have a strong interest in entertainment, art, culture and the marketing industry as a whole.

As a Brand Partnerships Account Manager, you will:

  • Assist the Partnerships Team in all aspects of the pre- & post-sale process: maintain day-to-day status of branded content, digital, mobile, custom collaborations and activations.
  • Exercise timely follow-through to develop and execute processes focused on improving partner satisfaction & retention.
  • Manage post-sale partnerships with companies of all sizes and industries.
  • Coordinate internal projects & communication with business intelligence, ad ops, studio, marketing and legal teams to ensure successful campaign collaborations.
  • Manage campaigns proactively, take initiative to improve account management processes, reporting structure and fulfill program needs.
  • Investigate and work directly with ad-ops & data teams to troubleshoot issues, and to ensure all deliverables are operating correctly.
  • Analyze campaign results to create insightful, data-driven wrap-up reports.
  • Kick-off campaigns with clients, manage all timelines, assets, etc.
  • Keep an active pulse on industry trends in the entertainment industry, art-related fields, conferences and worldwide comic cons.
  • Support and work with the partnerships team on pre-sale research and pitches.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of DeviantArt features, products and offerings.

This position requires you to be located in and work from our Los Angeles headquarters.
