Job Description

Our client is seeking a Vice President, General Manager to lead and manage the business unit with a focus on growing their online solution platform for the Hospitality Industry. This leader will work closely with customers to help shape solutions that enable clients to reach their customer base. The GM will lead the organization that includes oversight of business development, operations, finance and overall customer engagement that delivers great customer experience and client satisfaction.

The Vice President will capitalize on their broad experience to grow this business across the United States. This person will act as a thought leader, setting the strategy and vision for the company that leads to organic and new business growth in a profitable and sustainable manner; capitalizes on the organization’s superior assets and innovation capabilities while delivering operational excellence in a socially responsible and ethical manner. This person will engage on complex delivery challenges, designing strategies that align to internal business objectives while delivering great customer experiences.

The success of this candidate will be based on revenue and profit; new business awards and organic growth on existing programs; client satisfaction and project performance; team building and attrition metrics; internal and external leadership; and general business acumen related to running a vibrant and thriving organization!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the organization and business area, through decision-making and activities in the account.
  • Build and execute plans to grow the business through tactical opportunity capture and new business growth
  • Collaborate with and leverage corporate growth capabilities and assets to strengthen specific capture and proposal opportunities
  • Prioritize, manage and coordinate all phases of business capture – align account, business area and corporate resources as required.
  • Identify, mentor and develop growth-oriented leaders within the account.
  • Prioritize, establish, and maintain key client and industry relationships.
  • Pro-actively support cross-account and cross-company business strategies through coordinated planning, collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Plan, manage, and finalize numerous projects within a business area or group according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of multiple teams and third-party contractors or consultants in order to meet business objectives.
  • Define the objectives for the program and oversees quality control through the life cycle of the program.
  • Engage at the highest level of the company – including C-suite and board levels
  • Drive cross-organizational collaboration toward a common goal and driving operational efficiencies in a matrixed environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline (or equivalent work experience) with the best candidates having an MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • At least 10 years of business experience, with the last 5 in an executive leadership role
  • Team/program leadership; organizational leadership; executive communications internally and externally
  • P&L leadership, including managing to and meeting financial commitments, driving growth in the business, and building high performing team(s)
  • Growth oriented leadership experience with specific focus on building and prosecuting a pipeline of opportunities, creating new opportunities, providing thought leadership to influence the direction of the market, and engaging with decision makers
