Company Profile: Honor Community Health is a 501c3 Federally Qualified Health Center. We provide integrated, affordable and quality primary medical, dental and behavioral health care to vulnerable populations of Oakland County, regardless of ability to pay.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the full-time, exempt RN Manager, Clinical Services is an essential member of a high performing healthcare team managing the daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of the office.  The RN Manager, Clinical Services will oversee clinical office services, all clinic staff and set standards to assure a professional, skilled program of care and treatment is administered.  In addition, the RN Manager, Clinical Services completes general office duties, manages and maintains patient records in the HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH EMR/EDR systems, and ensures the office operates effectively and efficiently at all times.   The RN Manager, Clinical Services will adhere to HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH policies and procedures while carrying out and monitoring a wide range of operational processes.  The RN Manager, Clinical Services will maintain strong internal and external relationships, serving as liaison on behalf of HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH’s centers and administrative team, completing documentation and processing a variety of forms and records.  Works collaboratively to create and maintain a culture of excellence and dedication to providing compassionate and high quality health care to residents and the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manage and prepare work schedules for site staff and assure staffing is adequate at all times.  Approve time cards and personal time off (PTO) requests for staff ensuring minimum staffing requirements are maintained.  .
  2. Apply knowledge of patient schedule to support smooth appointment workflow, collaborating with the medical team, taking into consideration resident requirements and other onsite specialty services.
  3. In collaboration with CMO, monitors resident schedule to ensure adequate clinician coverage for patient services. 
  4. Works with PGH residency coordinator to ensure resident schedules are up to date and entered into the NG scheduling system. 
  5. Directs workflow to ensure efficient operation of center including supervision of staff and delegation of assignments.
  6. Applies Nursing process to the provision of care ensuring personnel follow established guidelines, protocols and policies.
  7. Oversee orientation of new clinical and office staff.  Completes orientation check list, ensures competency and training requirements are fulfilled while maintaining patient safety. 
  8. Oversees the maintenance of supply inventory; places orders as needed to ensure adequate stock.  Directs staff to ensure stock rotation to avoid product expiration.
  9. Oversees vaccine storage/handling, following state and organizational policies and procedures. 
  10. Ensures medical equipment is cleaned, disinfected, sterilized and maintained according to policy.
  11. Leads team in the event of emergency or incident, following policy and procedure.
  12. Acts as patient advocate ensuring medications, referrals or other testing and treatment is provided as ordered. 
  13. Resolves and reports patient complaints, involving Director of Clinical Services as needed.
  14. Assure patient information is properly documented and records maintained according to policy.
  15. Manage staff to assure patients receive proper care, treatment and timely service.
  16.  Assists in the gathering of information for both internal and external audits and other reporting requirements. 
  17. Provide patient education as needed using evidence based guidelines and following nursing process. 
  18. Ensure all staff comply with Universal/Biohazard precautions according to policy.
  19. Ensures that staff adhere to all reporting requirements and HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH policies, including implementation and documentation of the HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH Care Program/sliding fee scale.
  20. Assures CLIA and OSHA standards are followed and documented appropriately. 
  21. Completes annual staff performance evaluations.
  22. Participates on internal and external committees as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:  Associate Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.  Current CPR certification.  Active Michigan Registered Nurse License.   

EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of five or more years in a similar health center leadership position preferred.  Familiarity with OSHA standards and requirements.  Strong computer skills with experience using Electronic Medical Records (NextGen preferred) and knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet.  Experience working in a health care environment and experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers is highly desired.
