Job Description

Shopoff Realty Investments is looking for the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as an Operations Manager at our home office in Irvine, California.

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all facets of Shopoff Securities Investments (SSI)/Investor Relations, including, representing the Company, and managing communications with investors, and other such duties for the Company.

This position will also manage the Investor Relations teams. You will work with the teams to maximize capital raising efforts, promote Company offerings, cultivate and manage new relationships, make introductions and develop opportunities with your existing relationships. This position requires a FINRA Series 7 & preferably a 24 License. Responsibilities may be modified from time to time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Investor Relations team including performance (goals, metrics), evaluate effectiveness and help execute improvements as necessary.
  • Interact with compliance through the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
  • Assist and participate in strategic planning for product development.
  • Work in conjunction with the marketing and branding efforts of the Company.
  • Create and implement action plans, budgets and goals for the team and individual projects.
  • Assist and support the Company, including the development of reports, budgets, investor and industry communication, compliance and licensing.
  • Establish and conduct training and development programs for the team.
  • Work productively with all divisions and departments within the Company and its affiliates and partners, to develop systems, processes, procedures and plans to effectively execute the strategic plans and goals of the Company.
  • Plan and direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control offerings and service programs.
  • Direct and work with other department heads to direct clerical staff to keep records, disseminate effective correspondence, and to maintain current information.
  • Support the sale and distribution efforts of the Company and SSI as noted below.
  • Assist with the development and measurement of key performance indicators and reporting requirements investor agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement framework for processes that focus on customer experience with benchmarks, dashboards and metrics for daily and long-term decision making. Accountability of CRM function, platform and data governance, including software and processes (Salesforce in Investment Services currently handles this, but it will require some oversight).
  • Contribute and support marketing efforts as required to ensure efficient utilization of operational resources in alignment with prospective investor/institutional marketing.
  • Coordinate compliance and management approvals for fund reports, audits and related activities.
  • Ensure team time frames and vendor agreements are met with budgetary and fiscal responsibility.

Investor Relations

  • Developing a business plan and strategy that ensures attainment of Company's customer satisfaction goals.
  • Directing, managing and coordinating all activities related to Investor Relations.
  • Support the National/Strategic Accounts efforts of the Company and SSI.
  • Coordinating with the marketing and distribution plans as necessary to ensure all initiatives are effective and your team is appropriately trained and managed to understand the initiatives.

What we need:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of progressive business experience in project and operations management MBA is a plus.
  • Required FINRA Series 7 & preferably a 24 license.
  • PMP or project management certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in securities, insurance, banking or wealth management required.
  • Real estate investment management experience and some accounting proficiency preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and leading an effective operations function in a financial services organization.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, evidenced by successfully building, motivating, and managing high-performance teams and by effectively working as a partner with other executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong command skills (Leadership) and effective at motivating and managing vision & purpose.
  • Exceptional customer focus, and a keen appreciation for the interest of our investor community.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and effectiveness in a collaborative work environment.
  • Metrics driven leader with proven ability to seek out, research and analyze data and information to make informed decisions as an action and results oriented leader in a collaborative environment.
