An outstanding opportunity is now available in the San Francisco Bay Area for a Clinical Nurse Specialist Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Located in picturesque San Francisco Bay, this award winning hospital hosts a 22 bed individual room PICU on a Pediatrics Floor. The Pediatric ICU CNS will guide policy and procedures. The CNS will lead education courses and skills labs to ensure the PICU nursing staff is kept up to the hospital’s standards of excellence.
The CNS PICU will act as consultant and expert in giving clinical counsel to staff, physicians, insurance companies and patients families. The Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist will oversee staff development in the complex care center while also leading efforts related to implementation, evaluation and identification of evidence based practice, staff specific education and patient education.
The Pediatric Complex Care Unit cares for Children with rare and life threatening injuries and illnesses. The PICU CNS will work with the nursing staff to further improve clinical care and serves as the clinical expert in complex cases
The PICU is supported by a vast team of nurses and has plans to further expand its staff as the number of patients continually rises. The PICU CNS will work hand in hand with physicians, specialists, therapists, and nutritionist, while reporting directly to the PICU Manager,
