Job Description
While working under the supervision of Utilities Manager candidate would be responsible for performing daily waste water duties and assist maintenance when needed. Must be a team player, willing to learn, take initiative and pride in their work. We are looking for someone who needs little supervision and has ambition to learn and grow with our company
Hours: Full Time: Monday through Friday 11: 00 p.M. To 7: 30 a.M.+ Required to work overtime on days production is running.
Essential Tasks, Responsibilities, Requirements: Daily Punctuality and Attendance a Must. Perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Able to adhere to all company policies, plant rules and regulations and safety rules detailed in the employee handbook. Comply with all Federal, State and Local Laws, OSHA. Follow oral and written instructions. Maintain records for internal and external use. Ability to use basic hand tools. Repair and maintain waste water equipment, motors, pumps, valves piping and general building maintenance. Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance requirements. Observe and adjust chemical usage based on testing done to waste water. Light troubleshooting of electrical. Troubleshoot pneumatic valves, mechanical seals/gaskets, chains, belts, sprockets, gears, bearings, pumps, fans and building upkeep and general maintenance. Able to read and utilize equipment manuals for repairs and maintenance. Must be able to perform duties requiring overhead work, use of ladders, inside and outside, hot and cold environments, noisy. Tasks in plumbing, carpentry, pipe-fitting. Perform other related and unrelated duties.
Additional Skills a Plus: Basic welding and fabrication is a plus. Forklift operation and safety.
Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, bending, kneeling, reaching above head, grasping, pushing, pulling. Ability to work in hot and cold environments that can at times be noisy. Must be able to fit on, under, behind and inside industrial equipment and machines safely. Ability to move rolling carts and pallets. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently. Use of ladders. Indoors and outdoors work year round.
