Material Handler - Full-time / Part-time

We are currently seeking Material Handlers for a client in Glens Falls. The positions are responsible for tracking material coming in and out of their facility, as well as providing general warehousing support for the business. This includes helping with packaging, shipments, cleaning, and other internal distribution of raw goods. These are full time roles, with high probability for temp to hire. We have positions on 2nd and 3rd shift available. Our client has an appreciation for the environment and loves to have people who are mindful of sustainability be part of their organization.

Position Description:

• Handling internal and external customer loads
• Load and unload containers, pallets, box trucks and/or trailers with precision
• Follow safety, standard operating procedures and good manufacturing processes (food safety related)
• Record inventory information
• Safely operate and maintain equipment in a warehouse environment
• Palletize and shrink wrap materials leaving the facility including recording specific lot/batch information.
• Troubleshoot when issues arise to help find a safe solution
• Operate packaging equipment
• Clean-up work area and equipment throughout and at the end of every shift.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
• Prior Fork lift certification preferred
• Computer skills using a warehouse inventory system
• Attention to safety and cleanliness
• Team work mentality – willing to help in warehouse area or other areas if needed
• Excellent work history (attendance and dependability)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs from time to time
