The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G), uses the tools, theories, skills and knowledge of the specialty to improve healthcare practice of learners based on our Professional Practice Model.  The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G), projects target audience needs from current issues and trends and validates identified needs with key stakeholders. Using data gathered, The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G), documents, collaborates, prioritizes and individualizes content to the target audience and assists with facilitation of the educational planning process.  The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) collaborates with others to support professional growth and practice change throughout the organization. The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) supports change by working with others to identify problems, solutions, readiness and barriers for change.  The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) integrates ethics in all areas of practice including monitoring the integrity of educational activities and guides peers through resolution of ethical conflicts. The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) protects the autonomy, dignity, and rights of all individuals involved in the learning process. The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) acts as a champion of scientific inquiry, integrating best available evidence into practice. The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) supports, facilitates, and/or participates in research, EBP, and QI, including dissemination of findings through educational programs, courses and other activities. The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
The ideal Candidate for The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPD-G) strong verbal and written communications skills, excellent customer service skills and be able to multi-task while remaining organized.
