Job Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Portfolio Property Manager is responsible for property management support for properties within the portfolio.  This position is responsible for onboarding office team members, providing ongoing training and support and relief management within the portfolio.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide onboarding support for all new office employees according to the onboarding policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training support for properties within the portfolio.
  • Provide direction and confirm adherence to the company policies and procedures.
  • Travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Provide relief management due to but not limited to open positions, vacations, troubled assets or leaves of absence.  Relief management consists of all property manager responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Effectively manage properties to achieve maximum occupancy and budget potential

 

  • Ensure collections of all monies due to the community (i.e. rent) are received

 

  • Process rental applications and annual recertifications
  • Enhance customer service through quality resident relationships and owner satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies, state agencies and adhere to compliance requirements.
  • Adhere to all Fair Housing laws and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Training and Experience

  • Five (5) plus years of prior property management experience in a property manage role required.
  • LIHTC/Affordable housing knowledge required
  • Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management software.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, cell phones and tablets and the ability to train others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate via email, in writing and orally.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions, simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
  • Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to drive and insurance required.
