We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Emergency Department units.

 

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health�s (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner. 

 

Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs have to be ready to care for patients when they need us most.  In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, we need our ED RNs to be equipped to handle an array of emergency situations for patients of all ages.  Our Emergency Department (ED) nurses are trained in dealing with a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions.

 

Ideal prospective ED RNs must be able to quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions and be able to prioritize their injuries and medical needs accordingly.

�  Associate�s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

�  RN license required

�  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

�   1 Year of RN experience in ER required


Note: If you have less than 6 months of experience, we recommend that you apply to our nursing internship program.  Internships are available for new graduates and experienced nurses in a variety of specialties. New classes begin in January, June, and September.
