A growing Long Island hospital is looking for a Women's Services Nurse Educator to lead the training of its LD, Postpartum, NICU and Peds nursing team.

The community 228-bed facility is affiliated with a prestigious academic hospital. Candidates with a strong clinical background with experiencing precepting and education will be considered for this exciting position. Experience in LD, Pediatrics, NICU and Postpartum will all be considered.

The Women Services Nurse Educator will serve as the clinical and administrative liaison, responsible for education and to some extent the leadership of the LD, Postpartum and NICU unit. They will identify best practice models and develop, implement, and oversee Quality and Core Measure Initiatives.

The Women Services will create the clinical orientation program for all new nurses. Additional responsibilities will include assuming responsibility for department operations such as making appropriate assignments, coordinating care, resolving issues, functioning as the resource nurse, participating in staff decisions, rounding on patients, and maintaining Joint Commission compliance.
