An exciting new opportunity has recently opened for a Registered Nurse First Assist at a well-recognized hospital in Southern California. This healthcare system is consistently ranked as one of the best not-for-profit health systems in the United States.
The RNFA will practice under the direct supervision of one of the hospitals talented surgeons in a variety of surgeries but will have a focus on Orthopedic surgeries. The ability to work calmly and respond well under stressful, high pressure situations is a defining characteristic that is valuable for Registered Nurse First Assist. The RNFA will be asked to lead, supervise and teach nurses & students in and out of the operating room.
Collaboration, strong communication and the ability to take direction from surgeons will play a large part of how the Certified Surgical First Assistant will help to provide positive patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse First Assist will need to be a detail oriented individual that can recall information accuracy while working independently and as a member of a team.
