A 350 bed Seattle Metropolitan Area Medical Center is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner NICU NP to join their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Nurse Practitioner NICU NP will report to the Medical Director and will collaborate with a team of Advanced Practice Nurses throughout the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Nurse Practitioner NICU NP will have the opportunity to work in one of the busiest family birth centers in the Pacific Northwest, annually delivering over 5,000 newborns. The Nurse Practitioner NICU NP will work in a busy 30 bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Nurse Practitioner NICU NP will act at the Mid level provider to Neonatal Intensive Care Patients and will team with neonatologists, nurses and nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists and nutritionists who are all specially trained to care for pre-term babies.

The caseloads for the Neonatal Physician Assistants or Neonatal Nurse Practitioners vary based on the acuity of the patient: 9-15 babies of lower acuity, or 5-9 babies of higher acuity.  The Advanced Practice NICU Nurse will care for patients in need of immediate and focused care daily and be responsible for examinations, diagnoses, stabilization and treatment, rehabilitation and family support of Intensive Care Infants.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have to live in one of the national most Iconic Areas, the Pacific Northwest.
