A long-standing acute care hospital located in upstate New York is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery to join their accredited healthcare team.

This hospital is part of a rather large health system that operates multiple regional healthcare facilities throughout the area. This award-winning hospital is home to over 400 licensed beds and offers a wide variety of services including hospital, outpatient, physician, surgical, and community clinical services. The Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery is joining a healthcare facility that truly strives to elevate the health of the surrounding community.

The Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery will work within a perioperative department that is known to provide surgical services that utilize leading clinical technologies. This hospital specializes in general, orthopedic, thoracic, urology, otolaryngology, plastics and cosmetic surgeries. The Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery will assist leading a robotic surgical service line within a fast-paced perioperative department that operates 15 OR’s daily. The robotic surgical service line utilizes the da Vinci Surgical System on a number of minimally-invasive and general surgeries. The Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery will encounter a number of procedures within the robotic service line including hernia repairs, colon and rectal resection, feeding tubes, cholecystectomy, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, ovarian cystectomy, prostatectomy, partial and total nephrectomy, Andrew surgery, as well as other minimally invasive techniques.

The Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery will provide overall clinical and operational management to the department under the supervision of the unit Nurse Manager. The ideal Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery will have strong leadership skills as well as communication and collaboration skills in order to work effectively and efficiently with the clinical and administrative team. As the Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery, you will be responsible for assisting in all human resource, fiscal, and compliance functions of the unit. The Nurse Supervisor of Robotic Surgery will report to the unit Nurse Manager and will be supported by an advanced team of surgical nurses, nurse educators, and many other ancillary individuals throughout the hospital.
