We are looking for Box Truck Drivers for a route collection program that have not only a great work ethic, but also have demonstrated customer service skills. This position provides a unique opportunity for those looking to combine their love of driving and their love for serving the public. 

Daily functions include truck inspections, mapping, picking up and unloading large and odd shaped items weighing up to 70 pounds. In addition, this role will require accurate record keeping of route data, driver’s log and truck maintenance records.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•	Must be at least 21 years of age
•      Complete all daily residential routes picking up clothing, small furniture and other household items
•	Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
•	Safely maneuver and operate a 24’ box truck through residential streets and tights spaces
•	Must possess map reading skills
•	Provide exemplary customer service to internal (employees) and external (donors) customers.
•	Maintain contact with supervisor to receive donor request changes.
•	Maintain a courteous, respectful, and friendly attitude with the public.
•	Safely load and unload materials onto or from vehicles, pallets, carts, racks, shelves
•	Transport materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand truck, pallet jack or other lifting devices and/or employee assistance.
•	Effectively sort, stack, and process incoming donations by category, (i.e., clothes, misc, electrical, etc.), in a safe and organized manner according to company standards when unloading trucks.
•	Safely use compactors and large trash receptacles when necessary.
•	Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
•	Employment is conditional on passing a DOT Physical, drug test, background check as well as having a clean Motor Vehicle Report annually. 

Service and Time Commitment

•	Must be able to work flexible hours and days from Monday through Sunday including weekends, but not to exceed DOT regulated hours.   
•	Truck Route Drivers will remain flexible in their daily schedule in order ensure that every Donor and box route is completed each day they are scheduled.
•      Requires a driving record review

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Current/valid class D driver's license is required.

Candidates must have a proven track record of being able to work with little supervision, safely. Excellent communication skills are essential. In addition, must be able to respond to customer needs, concerns, or questions about our operations or ministries. Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push up to 125 lbs.
