15- RESTAURANT ASSISTANT

Assists in operating a clean, sanitary, and orderly restaurant to help maintain the smooth operation of guest service, each and every shift.

Essential Functions
1.	Completes opening and closing duties to insure guest readiness. 	
2.	Busses tables and provides assistance to servers with guest needs.
3.	Interacts with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
4.	Carries food and drinks to all areas of the restaurant.
5.	Provides refills of beverages to guest.
6.	Checks and ensures the overall cleanliness of the restrooms on a routine basis.
7.	Restocks bar items for bartenders, i.e., glasses, ice.
8.	Stocks and cleans beer cooler  -  including changing beer kegs.
9.	Restocks service items for servers, i.e., glasses, ice.
10.	Empties trash cans when needed.
11.	Completes all assigned prep work.
12.	Practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
13.	Cleans and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
14.	Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
15.	Helps expedite food and drinks. 
16.	Packs and delivers to-go food. 
17.	Washes dishes and insures overall restaurant cleanliness. 

Physical Requirements
Must be able to:
1.	Must have the ability to frequently lift and carry bus tubs, trays, and other objects weighing 25 pounds or more.
2.	Place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves.
3.	Stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of approximately six (6) hours in length.  
4.	Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment. 
5.	Transport cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
6.	Lift pots, pans, etc. up to 40 pounds in weight. 

Work Environment
1.	Work will be conducted in a restaurant environment including the kitchen. 
2.	May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment.
3.	May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces.
4.	Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
