The Admissions Representative is a key member of the admissions team who will help achieve the enrollment goals for

Alfred State. He/She will build educational partnerships with students, parents, school counselors, and a variety of agencies both on and off campus concerning all aspects of Alfred State. Responsibilities include interviewing potential students and personal follow up by assisting the students through the admissions process. Participate in recruitment activities on and off campus. Review applications for admission. Involvement in on-going admissions programs and projects. Assignments will depend on the needs of the office and the talents of the individual. Recruitment travel is expected.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education, skills, and abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as the confidence to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Preferred education, skills, and abilities:
  • Master's Degree

Experience working in a college setting with diverse student populations including transfer and online students

Familiarity with university-related technology such as Banner and CRM software

Knowledge of SUNY and Alfred State
