Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Reports To: Director of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY: Manage daily and long term operations of warehouse, ensuring that key warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, packing, order picking, material staging, logging returns, inventory, and other needed items, for a smooth, transparent process. Logistics, service, dispatch, and facilities coordination will also be essential along with organizational and process development/improvement.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  (Items marked with * are essential job functions)
* Maintain the Simpleray standards of Safety, Quality and Production in that order.*
* Manage warehouse staff in performance of daily operating tasks.*
* Manage flow of materials in and out of warehouse and ensure compliance to documented procedures.*
* Develop new policies and procedures as necessary to ensure streamlined operations.*
* Create & maintain organizational systems and bin location scheme.*
* Ensure use of inventory management software.*
* Oversee prefab and facility items, 
* Arrange for common carrier, LTL, & FTL freight as necessary.
* Interview, hire, & train staff to perform all necessary job functions; coordinate necessary training with third-party vendors as needed.  
* Coordinate employee schedules to ensure coverage as necessary for warehouse operations.*
* Ensure that all necessary tasks are completed in a timely fashion and by scheduled deadlines.*
* Responsible for overall maintenance and security of Warehouse; along with overseeing vehicle repair and grounds maintenance.*
* Coordinate outside uses of warehouse facilities (e.g., rail deliveries, storage space, loading dock, freight transfer)
* Receive shipments, checking, documenting, & reporting damage. Refusing shipments as necessary due to damage.*
* Return materials to stock location.
* Receive returns from jobs, checking, documenting, & reporting damage.
* Oversee Warehouse Techs while pulling materials from stock locations per job pick tickets.*
* Communicate material stock issues to Procurement Manager.*
* Package materials for shipments to ensure safe delivery to end destination.*
* Prepare shipping labels & schedule delivery/pickup with common carrier freight companies as necessary.
* Palletize larger orders for delivery.*
* Load orders onto trucks/trailers for delivery by hand and using equipment such as pallet jacks, fork lifts, lulls, etc.*
* Safely use warehouse equipment for placing and picking materials from storage areas.
* Count inventory of products/warehouse as needed/directed.*
* Update information in real time in Warehouse/Inventory Management software.*
* Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
* Assist with organization of warehouse space for safety & efficiency.  
* Work with confidential information and understand critical nature of privacy.*
* Work well under pressure and deadlines.*
* Work well with a variety of software packages across multiple computing platforms.*
* Have flexible availability based on ongoing work/task needs change.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include direct management of a minimum of three individuals, ensuring safe working conditions, maintaining high quality standards, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

COMPUTER SKILLS: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and internet software. Google Suite (Docs, Sheets and Mail). TradeGecko, Zendesk, & Zoho Projects experience are a strong plus. Aptitude in learning new computer systems is necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience in general office work and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience/knowledge of electrical and/or solar components is required.

Valid Driver's License Required, CDL Highly Preferred
OSHA 30 Required, can obtain within 30 days of hire
Forklift Certification, can obtain within 30 days of hire
Skid Steer/Bucket Loader Certification, can obtain within 30 days of hire
Lull Certification, can obtain within 30 days of hire
Crane and Hoist Certification, can obtain within 30 days of hire 
First Aid/ AED Certification, can obtain with 30 days of hire
